Here’s my version of the most trendy coffee drink, Dalgona Coffee went viral on TikTok and Instagram – with everyone, their mom and the grandma making this!

The name comes from Dalgona candy, a popular street snack in South Korea – even though they don’t have anything to do with each other. Whipped coffee & dalgona candy having a similar look when whipped / stirred. The version of dalgona coffee that went viral on TikTok originated from Hon Kee Cafe in Macau. It got the name dalgona coffee because South Korean actor Jung Il-woo made the comparison after trying the coffee drink at Hon Kee Cafe.

I think the recipe is so popular because of how easy it is to make, you simply blend Instant Coffee, Sugar and hot water to make the delicious coffee fluff. With the addition of a shot of Bourbon mixed into the milk, it tastes like a creamy Irish Coffee. Give it a try, it’s definitely a drink that lives up to all the hype!
