Traditional methods of cooking mahi mahi can sometimes make it dry.  Cooking it sous vide ensures that a they stay tender and moist, so you don’t have to guess when it’s the perfect doness.  I served it over rice with a spicy jalapeño salsa, but the sides and sauce options are limitless for this since mahi mahi goes well with many dishes.  I’m going to show you how to cook mahi mahi perfectly using a KitchenBoss Sous Vide Cooker

Sous Vide Mahi Mahi Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1-4 Mahi Mahi Fillets, about 1 inch thick
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic Powder

Method

  • 1)

    Attach the sous vide bracket to a large pot, place the KitchenBoss Sous Vide Cooker into the bracket and fill with enough water so it’s above the minimum line, but below the maximum line. Set temp at 125°F for 30 minutes. The KitchenBoss Sous Vide Cooker will preheat the water and beep when it’s at the correct temp.

  • 2)

    Pat each Mahi Mahi fillet dry with paper towels, then season with salt, pepper and garlic. Seal the fillets with a Kitchboss Vacuum Sealer, use the “Moist VAC” setting.

  • 3)

    Once the Sous Vide Cooker is at the correct temp, drop the mahi mahi fillets into the pot. Once the time is up, remove the fillets from the pot and sear in a hot, oiled pan for 30 seconds on each side. Serve immediately & Enjoy!
