The BEST Instant Pot Accessories

So you have an Instant Pot and you’re looking for all the cool accessories to get? This is a list of items I’ve purchased and love using with my Instant Pot. Just click on the images to view the current prices on Amazon. If there’s something amazing you’ve used and it’s not on my list, post a comment to tell me about it so I can check it out.
This is one of the most useful accessories for the Instant Pot, I use it anytime I have to release steam. The Instant Pot is used on my counter top right underneath my cabinets, so this diverts the steam downwards and away from my cabinets. This works with Duo, Duo Plus and Smart Models

This is another accessory that I use constantly, a silicone sling / trivet. It makes it so much easier to load and lift pans out of the Instant Pot – especially when your making a cheesecake.
Silicone Sling / Trivet for the Instant Pot 6Qt & 8Qt
It might sound weird to make a baked item in the Instant Pot, but I have been making cheesecake the in the oven for years and my Instant Pot version is the best Cheesecake I’ve ever made (recipe here). This pan will fit in the 6Qt and 8Qt Instant Pot models.

These mini mitts are perfect for Instant Pot, you can use them to grip the inner pot or other accessories that you use with your pot. The size is perfect because normal oven mitts are so bulky.
Genuine Instant Pot Mini Mitts
This genuine Instant Pot Glass Lid is great for the slow cooker setting, yogurt making or when you want to use the keep warm function. If you’re bringing your Instant Pot to a potluck with chicken chili or mac and cheese – this is perfect for keeping your dish warm and makes it easy to serve. Be sure to purchase the correct size for your Instant Pot.
Genuine Instant Pot Tempered Glass lid
If you love the Starbucks Egg Bites or you’ve seen all the Egg Bites posts on the Instant Pot Facebook groups, this is the silicone mold you use to make them. If you’ve never tried and Egg Bite, it’s a mini creamy, velvety version of a frittata – so delicious! Check out my Copycat of Starbucks’ Bacon and Gruyere recipe here. You can also use these to make lava cakes, pancake bites, freeze bone broth or mini cheesecake bites.
If you plan on making desserts in the Instant Pot, it’s a good idea to get some extra silicone rings – if you’ve already started using your Instant Pot, you’ll notice that the scent of whatever food you’re making stays on the silicone ring. These genuine Instant Pot rings come in different colors, so you can use one just for desserts so you don’t transfer the scent of your savory dishes onto your desserts. Be sure to purchase the correct size for your Instant Pot.
Genuine Instant Pot Sealing Rings – 6 Quart
One of the things I use my Instant Pot the most for is making yogurt. It’s so easy to do and the flavor is so much better than store bought. I use these yogurt jars for convenience because I can incubate directly in the jar when I make French Yogurt or Vietnamese Yogurt.

If you prefer Greek Yogurt (recipe here), you can use this yogurt strainer to strain out the whey to make extra thick and creamy Greek Yogurt.
Euro Cuisine Stainless Steel Yogurt Strainer
If you want to steam vegetables, make hard boiled eggs or want easy way to strain out bones when you’re making bone broth, this steamer basket works perfectly for that. Out of all the steamer baskets I researched this was the most sturdy one and it’s super easy to clean. Be sure to buy the correct size for your Instant Pot.
Stainless Steel Steamer Basket for 6 or 8 Quart Instant Pot
This is my newest purchase and I love it! I’ve been using it to make Chocolate Flan Cake (recipe here) and it makes the most beautiful cake, you can use this to make any bundt cakes as well. This will fit in the 6Qt and 8Qt.
I have been using this Zyliss Spatula for years, way before I had an Instant Pot, but it is the perfect spatula to use with your IP. It’s very stiff and made of silicone so it won’t scratch your pot – it works perfectly for deglazing your pot, scraping the bottom of your pot (so you avoid the dreaded BURN error) and stirring.
An Immersion blender is very convenient to use with the Instant Pot, if you’re making a soup or sauce, you can use this directly in your pot. I use it all the time for Split Pea Soup (recipe here) and Creamy Asparagus Soup (recipe here).
These stackable steamer baskets are perfect for pot in pot cooking and you can make two separate dishes at once! You can use these to make lasagna, steamed veggies, rice, fish. This also works great for reheating food if you avoid using the microwave like I do. This fits the 6Qt and 8Qt.
Stackable Steamer Pans with Sling
This genuine Instant Pot silicone lid is super convenient, you can just place it on your pot to store leftovers or when you make a big pot of yogurt it’s great for storing yogurt the refrigerator before you strain it or transfer it into serving jars. Be sure to purchase the correct size for your Instant Pot.

Hi Sandrine, yes an 8 Inch Pan will fit in the 8 Qt, one like this one would fit:
Do you mean this Fat Daddio Pan? I’m not sure if this one would fit because of the lip on the bottom

I found a 6in cheesecake pan at an estate sale….can I use that for your lemon cheesecake recipe instead of a 7in? If so, any adjustments to the recipe? Cooking time?

Hi Diane, yes a 6 inch pan should work fine – just add 5 minutes to the cooking time. Enjoy!
