Prep time: 20 minutes

Cook time: 8 minutes

Serves: 4 Crab Cakes

This is a simple and classic recipe for delicious Crab Cakes.  There’s very little filler in these, so the other ingredients enhance the flavor and act as a binder for lump crab.  You can steam fresh crab and harvest your own crab meat, or look for the lump crab meat in the refrigerated seafood section at your local grocery store or Costco. Enjoy them with tartar sauce and a salad. *Watch my 20-second Instagram recipe vide here

  • 2)

Line the baking tray or basket with parchment paper. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions (about ½ Cup each) and form them into a dome shape, don’t compress them too much, just enough so they hold their shape and place onto the baking tray. Place a 2 Teaspoon dab of cold Salted Butter on top of each Crab Cake.

  • 3)

Pre-heat the air fryer to 400°F. Air fry for 8-9 minutes (no need to flip), they should look lightly golden – avoid over cooking or they’ll turn tough.

  • 4)

Make the easy Tartar Sauce while the crab cakes are cooking, by combining ⅓ Cup Mayonnaise, 2 Teaspoons Sweet Relish, ½ Teaspoon Dijon Mustard, ½ Teaspoon Lemon Juice in a small bowl. Serve the crab cakes with lemon wedges and tartar, Enjoy!
