Matcha Cornflake Christmas Wreaths, these are such a cute treat to give as gifts! I love that it’s so simple and quick to make, this classic Christmas treat is usually made with marshmallows, but I wanted to make them a little more decadent by using chocolate, plus matcha + white chocolate pair so well together. *Watch my Instagram Recipe Video here

  • Prep time: 25 minutes
  • Serves: 12 Wreaths

Ingredients

Method

  • 1)

Pour 2 inches of water into a pot, heat the water until it’s simmering then turn the heat down to low. Add 1 Teaspoon Vegetable Shortening and 11 oz of White Chocolate Chips to a heat safe bowl, place the bowl on top of the pot, the bowl should be large enough that the bottom doesn’t touch the water. Stir occasionally until the chocolate chips are melted then remove the bowl from the pot.

  • 2)

Sift 4 Teaspoons Matcha Powder into the melted chocolate, stir well with a spatula. Add 3½ Cups Cornflake Cereal and stir to coat all the cereal pieces in chocolate. Line a baking sheet with parchment or use a silpat, then use two spoons or a spoon + chopsticks to spoon the cornflake mixture into a circular shape on the baking sheet, decorate with sprinkles immediately. Repeat with the rest of the cornflake mixture. Let them rest until completely set, the wreaths will peel away from parchment very easily, store in an airtight container until ready to serve. Enjoy!
