These Honey Soy Garlic Wings are so delicious, they are sweet, savory and sticky! Make these easily with an air fryer – baking powder + cornstarch make the wings extra crispy.

I use an Instant Omni Plus Oven (check current price here), but this recipe should work well in any Air Fryer Oven.

Air Fryer Sticky Honey Soy Garlic Wings Recipe

  • Prep time: 10 minutes
  • Cook time: 30 minutes
  • Serves: 4

  • 2.25 Pounds Wings (18 Flats and Drumettes)
  • 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
  • ½ Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • ½ Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • Scallion, chopped for garnish

  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • ¼ Cup Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons Soy Sauce
  • ½ Teaspoon Rice Vinegar
  • ¼ Cup Water

  • 1)

In a large bowl, combine 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder, ½ Teaspoon Garlic Powder, ½ Teaspoon Kosher Salt, ¼ Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper & 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch. Toss the wings to coat evenly. Brush the basket with a little bit of oil so the wings don’t stick and place the wings into the air fry basket/tray. (If you have an Instant Vortex Plus, you can use the rotisserie basket and be sure to turn Rotate on)

**Make sure you are using Baking Powder and NOT Baking Soda – baking soda will make the wings inedible.

  • 2)

Choose Air Fry at 400°F for 35 Minutes, flip half way through. In a bowl, combine ¼ Cup Honey, 1 Tablespoon Sugar, 2 Teaspoons Soy Sauce, ½ Teaspoon Rice Vinegar, ¼ Cup Water and stir well to combine. Use a large non stick skillet, on medium-high heat melt 1 Tablespoons Butter, sauté the minced garlic for about 2 minutes then add the sauce mixture. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until it starts to thicken up, it should look like syrup. Toss the wings in the soy honey garlic sauce, if you want them extra sticky turn the heat on high and let the syrup simmer for about 1 minute. Plate the wings, spoon on any extra sauce left in the pan and garnish with chopped scallions. Enjoy!
