Homemade Almond Milk is the best! It’s easy to make and you can control the ingredients. Most store-bought almond milk use thickeners and numerous additives to produce their product. Erewhon Market is one of the few exceptions, there are no thickeners or strange ingredients in their almond milk. I’m going to show you how to make a copycat of Erewhon Market’s Blue Pearl Almond Milk which has Blue Majik Powder and Pearl Powder, it’s flavored with Raw Honey and a pinch of Sea Salt. They sell a 16oz bottle for $15 –  if you love their almond milk, it’s a huge money saver making it yourself.

Almond milk has tons of vitamins and minerals, it’s alkaline-forming in your body, and it can help lower “bad” LDL cholesterol because it’s contains a great amount of omega-3 fatty acids. Blue Majik helps boost the immune system and fight inflammation – Pearl Powder is an antioxidant booster and helps improve collagen production.

Erewhon Market uses sprouted almonds, but raw almonds will work great as well.  You can order Blue Majik / Blue Spirulina hereErewhon Blue Pearl Almond Milk Recipe

Ingredients

Method

  • 1)

Place 1 Cup of Raw Almonds and 2 Cups of Water into a bowl or container and place into the refrigerator for 12 hours or overnight.

  • 2)

Drain the almonds and rinse them off. Place the almonds, 5 Cups of Filtered Water, 2 Tablespoons Raw Honey, 1 Teaspoon Blue Majik Powder, 2 Teaspoons Peal Powder, pinch of Sea Salt into a blender. I use a Vitamix and blend on the highest setting for 2 minutes. If you’re blender isn’t a high power blender, blend on the highest setting for 4-5 minutes.

*Optional, you can also add 2 Teaspoons of Tocotrienols, you’ll get the benefits of Vitamin E and it will help your almond milk last a little longer in the fridge.

  • 3)

Your hands should be clean and sanitized. Strain the almond milk by pouring it into a nut milk bag over a large bowl. Squeeze very well so you can extract all the almond milk. Store in a sealed container and refrigerate for up to 4-5 days. Enjoy!
