This classic waffle recipe makes waffles that are crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Perfect for breakfast or brunch – serve it with your favorite berries and whipped cream or turn it into dessert by adding ice cream and chocolate syrup. I used a Chef’sChoice Five-of-Hearts Waffle Maker (purchase here).

Ingredients
- 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1¾ Cups Milk
- ½ Cup Unsalted Butter, melted
- 2 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
- 4 Teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Method
- 1)
Preheat your oven to 200°F – you’ll keep the waffles warm in the oven while you make them all. Preheat your waffle iron.
- 2)
In a large bowl, add 2 Cups of All Purpose Flour, 4 Teaspoons of Baking Powder and a Pinch of Salt – mix well with a whisk and set aside.
- 3)
Beat 2 Large eggs very well with a whisk until foamy. Add 1¾ Cups of Milk, ½ Cup of melted Butter, and 1 Teaspoons of Vanilla Extract – mix well then add this mixture to the flour and mix just until it’s combined – small lumps are okay.
- 4)
Scoop the batter into your waffle iron and cook them until they are golden brown. Keep the waffles warm in your oven directly on the racks while you finish making the rest. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with your favorite berries, whipped cream or ice cream. Enjoy!
