Prep time: 5 minutes

Serves: ≈ 2 Cups of Whipped Cream

The perfect topping for almost any dessert! You can’t even compare homemade whipped cream to the stuff that comes out of a can. This is extra thick, creamy and pipes beautifully. It’s slightly sweet with a hint of lovely vanilla – PERFECTION!

If you have a Trader Joe’s by you, they carry these 8 oz packages of shelf stable whipping cream, I usually just keep a few in my fridge (since they’re good for a few months) so I can easily make whipped cream whenever I need it. You can also purchase it on Amazon here.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • ¼ Cup Powdered / Confectioners Sugar
  • ½ Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Method

  • 1)

Make sure the heavy whipping cream is very cold. If it’s hot in your house, it’s also a good idea to place the mixing bowl and whisk into the freezer for 10 minutes. Pour the cream into your mixing bowl. Use the whisk attachment and whisk on high until it’s slightly thickened.

  • 2)

Add ¼ Cup of Powdered Sugar and ½ Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract and continue to whisk on high until stiff peaks form. Avoid over-whisking or it will turn grainy.
