A unique and delicious alternative to the classic rice krispie treats: Pandan and White Chocolate. The flavor of pandan is derived from a tropical plant that grows in Southeast Asia, the flavor profile can be compared to a mild vanillaesque essence + coconut – it’s used in many Vietnamese desserts.

  • 8 Cups Rice Krispie Cereal
  • 7 Cups Mini Marshmallows, divided
  • 7 Tablespoons Salted Butter
  • 1½ Teaspoons Pandan Flavoring
  • ½ Cup White Chocolate Chips

Method

  • 1)

Butter a 13x9in pan very well and set aside. On low heat, melt 7 Tablespoons of Salted Butter in a large pot (*If you want to use an Instant Pot, Choose Sauté on the low setting), add 5½ Cups of Mini Marshmallows and 1½ Teaspoons Pandan Flavoring stir until the marshmallows are melted. Turn off the heat, add 8 Cups Rice Krispie Cereal and 1½ Cups of Mini Marshmallows, stir quickly until well coated.

  • 2)

Pour into the 13×9 pan and evenly spread the mixture out – sprinkle on the ½ Cup of White Chocolate Chips and press down to even out the rice krispie treats. Let them firm up for about 30-60 minutes and cut into squares before serving. Enjoy!
