TERIYAKI SAUCE
In a large bowl, combine 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder, 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch, ¼ Teaspoon Garlic Powder, ⅛ Teaspoon Ginger Powder, ¼ Teaspoon Kosher Salt, ¼ Ground Black Pepper and stir to combine. Toss the wings to coat evenly. Brush the basket with a little bit of oil so the wings don’t stick and place the wings into the airfry basket.
**Make sure you are using Baking Powder and NOT Baking Soda – baking soda will make the wings inedible.
Choose Air Fry at 400°F for 30 Minutes, flip half way through. Make the teriyaki sauce while the wings are cooking. Use a large non-stick pan and add ½ Cup Brown Sugar and 2 Tablespoons Water, turn on the heat to medium-high and wait until the sugar melts and let it simmer for 2 minute. Add 2 Tablespoons Sake, 3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce and stir well, let it simmer for an additional 2 minutes then turn off heat, the sauce should thicken to a syrup consistency when it cools. Add the wings to the pan and toss to evenly coat the wings in the sauce. Garnish roasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Enjoy!
